Inocculations

I thought about 5 years ago it changed for puppies to have their inocculations from the ages of 10 weeks to 12 weeks old as puppies are still immuned from their mother, it has been found that many puppies have become very ill or died as it is like giving them an overdose, can anyone tell me different?

Just last week a man telephoned me about a litter of pups that he has, he wanted to know if I had trouble selling my pups and wanted to know how much I sold them for, I told him and he asked me was this with innoculations and I replied no, he was having problems selling his pups and they have all been innoculated, I asked him how old the pups were they were 9wks old so I asked him when did he have the pups innoculated he told be the vet done them at 7 wks old surely this can not be right the poor little mites.

Why are some vets telling you to have innoculations done before they are 10 wks old and othes not until they are over 10wks old, it just seems to me that a lot of vets have just one thing on their minds these days and thats to put as many pennies in their pockets as they can with no thought to the animal what soever.
